The card is postmarked from Maine Aug 26 1940 and is addressed to Mr. and Mrs Frederick Free, 19 Rector Street, New York. The message reads:
"Aug 24, 1940
Received your card. glaf you arrived home OK. We had a wonderful celebration Friday 23 the 100 year anniversary of the town, Caratunk. Wish you could have been here. We are both feeling fine at present. The weather is fine. Been having it a bit cooler. Best regards to you both hope to see you next year.
Mr & Mrs. Clark [this is written near the top of the card]"
